Topic: Steps to Turn Pro with Your Blogging

I have been blogging since blogging was called journaling and John C Dvorak declared it as the best new thing since CD ROM. I remember, vaguely though, being excited about the admin UI design upgrade by Happy Cog, which felt that WordPress has finally made it mainstream. Yes, this was back when WordPress was not considered mainstream. I have been developing sites for others, and hosting my own experiments and sites on WordPress ever since (I have been making websites since 98). My blog won the best business blog award for Pakistan in 2011, and our community is what makes this whole effort worth it. We managed to host the first of its kind meetup back in 2012, where 75 people showed up from five different cities of Pakistan. With 5000+ double opt-in email subscribers, the small community of creative entrepreneurs on the blog continue to inspire and (inshAllah) grow. I have written articles for ProBlogger and HuffPost, and have been a keen admirer and user of all WordPress has to offer. Blogging has been and still is the central homebase for creative expression and business development.
